Erass is a Principal at Silicon Badia and works on the full cycle of our investment practice (from sourcing to post-investment support).
Erass holds a dual Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in Entrepreneurship, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree (BSBA) in International Business from Gannon University. He also obtained a Certificate in Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies from Harvard Business School/HarvardX in 2018.
Erass is passionate about the regional startup ecosystem, having interned with Wamda Capital in 2017 where he was responsible for sourcing tech investment opportunities and assisted with financial modelling, deal due diligence and supporting the firm’s portfolio companies. Whilst at Wamda, Erass also initiated the ‘MOOC’ initiative, a regional platform that provides free online courses for MENA residents. Whilst still at university, Erass also interned with the King Abdullah II Fund for Development, Al Yaqout Properties, a Jordanian real estate development firm, and spent several months at Ruwwad, a development organisation that works with disenfranchised communities in Jordan.
Erass is a hardcore football fanatic and formerly played professionally for the Jordanian National Team, Al-Jazeera National Club and Queens Park Rangers in the United Kingdom before pursuing his undergraduate degree.
